Did the Duma Shun Obama when he visited Russia?
The video shows members of Russia’s Duma shaking hands with President Medvedev but refusing to take Obama’s often offered hand.
A couple of Americans that I showed the video to suggested that it must be faked, and I wish it was, but I doubt that it is.
To alter an image in Photoshop is one thing and even the best done ones can be detected if you look hard enough and know what you’re looking for, but to alter a video in this way would be exceedingly hard to do, even for a major studio.
I might be wrong, and if you believe the video is fake then please explain how it was done and I will publish your comments.
I live in an area that is 80% made up of people from the former Soviet Union with most coming from Georgia and when I told people about the video last night and asked them what it meant, they looked at me in a somewhat surprised and half-disbelieving way, and said, “Of course they wouldn’t shake hands with him, he’s black”.
So the refusal to shake hands was because Obama is half black and not because of his politics which is very very sad.
A quick perusal of the articles on this site will show that I am not an Obama fan, and I believe him to be one of the worst things that ever happened to the United States.
In this case however, I feel very sorry for him, and that is something that I never expected write.
During his visit to Russia, it was widely reported in Europe, but not in the States that Obama suggested to both Medvedev and Putin that they try to put a stop to corruption in Russia.
Such a suggestion would be similar to proposing that Obama cut back on the Constitution, and they must have both laughed their way to the bank.
One well known French newspaper carried a banner headline following the report which roughly translated was, “Obama puts his foot in the plate”.
