Evidence has just emerged that Sen. Barack Obama was a member of a far left socialist party in 1996 whose aim was to help get people elected to office that would then move the Democratic Party further to the left.
The ‘New Party’ which was formed by members of the ‘Democratic Socialists for America’ and leaders of an offshoot of the ‘Community Party USA’ was an electoral alliance that worked alongside the ‘Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now’ – ACORN.
Following claims on several blog-sites that he had been a member of the ‘New Party’, Obama’s campaign responded to the allegations by saying that “he’d never been a member”.
But a site by the name of ‘New Zeal’ uncovered copies of the party’s official newspaper, ‘New Party News’ that show Obama posing with ‘New Party’ leaders who list him as a ‘New Party’ member and even include quotes from him. The blog is number 41 on their site and if you have any problems getting to the site it’s because at the time of writing they’d had 30,000 hits in just 48 hours.
This irrefutable documentation is explosive both because it shows Obama’s ties to the extreme left and also because there was once again an attempted cover up. This news comes on the heels of an announcement that Obama’s fundraising slowed in October to about a half of its September pace. Obama reported raising $36 million for his campaign during the first two weeks of October but spent more than $105 million during that same period.
The New Party’s Spring 1996 newspaper stated: “New Party members won three other primaries this Spring in Chicago: Barack Obama (State Senate), Michael Chandler (Democratic Party Committee) and Patricia Martin (Cook County Judiciary) and quoted Obama as saying “these victories prove that small ‘d’ democracy can work”.
The ‘New Party’ which was established in 1992 took advantage of what was known as “electoral fusion” which meant that candidates could run on two tickets concurrently thereby attracting voters from both parties, but after fusion was halted by the Supreme Court the ‘New Party’ became non-operational in 1998.
Many of the New Party’s founding members were ‘Democratic Socialists for America’ leaders, and members of ‘Committees of Correspondence’ which was a breakaway of the ‘Communist Party USA’ and Obama attended several DSA events and meetings, including a DSA-sponsored town hall meeting on Feb. 25, 1996, entitled “Employment and Survival in Urban America” and he sought and received an endorsement from the DSA.
Whether the MSM will jump on this or not remains to be seen but it would seem impossible to hush it up and it is almost certain that Fox and others will carry the story.

Having read the comments to this article I felt the need to add a general reply.
I have said it in some of my blogs, but let me repeat it here.
I am not a McCain supporter and I wish the republican party had been able to field a better choice.
My problem is not with Obama’s religion, whatever it might be, nor whether or not he is a communist.
My difficulty with Obama is that he has has purposely and very cleverly concealed vast amounts of his past and it is this concealment that lead to my first blog, The Missing Paper Trail.
If I found ‘new’ information about McCain I would publish it here immediately.
I believe a vote for Obama is dangerous because he has not been forthright about his past and when confronted with legitimate but politically dangerous questions he simply issues denials and if proof is then forthcoming he quickly “passes the buck”.
I was an active communist in my 20s and can easily see the attraction.
I now share an apartment with two people from the former Soviet Union and have learned through them and their friends what life was like in Communist regimes and it is not something that is knowable without having lived it.
In short, I believe that Obama should come clean about his past and his beliefs and reveal them to the Nation.
If the population then chooses him then it will get the government that it deserves.
As to comments that relate to conspiracy theories, I can only say that I see nothing in this article that suggest a ‘conspiracy’. A man joins a left wing group that wants to move the Democratic Party left. The group promotes promising individuals and some of them get elected to high office and do indeed move the party left. I see nothing wrong with having joined the group nor with what the group did.
As far as comments suggesting that what is contained in my article and/or on other blog sites is fantasy, the posters only needed to go to “New Zeal” to see what is there.
Are the news cuttings displayed there real?
Of course I don’t’ know 100% but it would seem almost beyond doubt that they are and hopefully the MSM will quickly confirm or deny their authenticity.
Of course there is misleading information on the web and some of it is intentional and some of it is unintentional but the same goes for every form of media and all that one can do is to try and establish the truth or falsity of what one is reading.

This just in your articel is BS and you know it. Nice last minute try but, scare tactics are costing you this election. You should be ashamed to call your self a human being!
If you had checked the link to the New Zealand website you would have seen proof.
If you can’t accept proof because you are jumping up and down shouting ‘change’ then you may get the government that you deserve.
But it won’t be the kind of change that you’re expecting.
Obama has proven Jihad and communist connections and his intention is to destroy the US from within.

To those who are claiming that this is just a “smear” against Obama and that his membership of the New Party has no bearing on his present or his intent for America…hear this:
1) A national leader will always try to reshape the country he/she is leader of into the image of his own values.
2) A person’s values are the result of an accumulation of past experiences, connections, attitudes and actions. We do not suddenly wake up one morning with our values – they develop over years.
3) With this in mind – if we wish to gain a better understanding of the values of a Presidential candidate and the ways in which these values will shape his or her agenda for America, then it is perfectly reasonable – in fact essential – to look at that person’s past associations and actions.
There is simply no way on Earth that Obama’s radical left wing past – Ayers, Acorn, the New Party etc – has not shaped an enormous part of who he is today, his values and how he intends to reshape America into the image of these values.
It’s not just about one meeting, or serving on a board, or anything else in isolation. It’s the sum total of his past and the ideological path he has consciously trodden throughout his adult life. When Obama talks about “spreading the wealth around,” his past associations with Marxists and his membership of the New Party are 100% relevant.
As is his promise to ACORN last year – recorded on tape – that once elected as President he will allow them to shape his agenda for America.
ACORN itself is an organization forged from the same smash-the-system, anticapitalist Marxist roots as Ayers. It was founded by George Wiley who made a serious attempt to bring capitalism to its knees in the early 70′s by organizing poor ghetto dwellers to storm welfare offices and demand everything that was possibly due to them. In just a few short years he more than doubled the number of single parent African Americans on welfare, with devastating consequences for black America.
I do not think any of this is “tenuous” or “irrelevant” or “a distraction” or “a smear.” I think it’s instrumental in telling us who Obama is and who and what has shaped him in the past. We have a right to know everything about the man who promises to “change” America. I’m sick of the way in which Obama supporters cite the concept of “change” as if it were not possible to make any kind of objective judgment of that “change.” What kind of change? Look at Obama’s past for the answers.
Oddly, Obama supporters react to critical interrogatories of their candidate with disrespect. Why not engage in a discussion? I find it intellectually dishonest to deny a charge without any form of analysis; relying, instead, on vile often vulgar attacks on a collection of people. Any person leveling any slur at any group is wrong. . .

I did check the documents and had already watched a video in which Philip J. Berg, explains why he filed suit on 08/21/08 requesting Obama Be Removed as a Candidate as he does not meet the Qualifications for President.
Berg is a former Deputy Attorney General of Pennsylvania.
The most significant thing about this is that Obama refused to show his birth certificate to the judge.
Why didn’t he just show it and end the case?

I checked out your so-called evidence. Just because an organization called the New Party ‘endorsed’ a candidate for public office does not make that candidate a member of said, New Party. The existence of the ‘evidence’ does not prove the veracity of the document being presented. As a former military propaganda specialist(psychological operations), I am well aware of techniques used to pass off totally fraudulent documents as bonafide information.
This blog is nothing more than just another Republican fear monger terrorizing the electorate on the eve of our national election. If Obama succeeds in his bid to become President of the United States, there is a limit to his ability to effect change. It is the congress and the courts. Believe me, no President has ever held sway over both. Congress is often refereed to as the insane asylum for good reason. It is nearly impossible for any alliance to push through legislation involving sweeping change. That is why most legislation is ineffective or easily picked apart in the courts.
Remember, he still has to try to satisfy all the Democratic factions to get legislation that will pass. The Blue Dogs are staunchly more fiscally conservative than the R’publicans, remember pay-go, that Democratic budget-balancing tool. It was the Republicans who threw that rule out and ballooned the deficit, oh yeah, let’s not forget the unfunded Bush wars that doubled its impact.
So take your Republican propaganda and head for Uruguay. I hear the fascists are still in charge there. That is a fine example of conservatism in action. So was Nazi Germany.
