It was similar in vein to something that I wrote earlier in the month entitled “The World Will Be Very Different In 2009” but it caused me to ponder what Obama really wants and what changes he really has in mind for America.
I went to bed thinking about his about his 30 minute infomercial that aired across network and cable television last night and woke up believing that I finally understood what Obama really wants.
He doesn’t want to be just another President of the United States and he really does want to bring about enormous changes!
If elected, he would want to rein like Putin!
Very few Americans understand what life under a Putin like regime would be like but members of the “New Party” that helped Obama and others to rise through the political ranks know exactly what it means and they have worked for years to bring about its implementation.
If Obama is elected we can envisage as many changes as possible being made as quickly as possible to ensure that the United States would effectively have a one party system, and many of those changes are already being planned for as written about in The Fairness Doctrine.
Russia supposedly has Democracy and most Russians will tell you that they have one, but did the power behind the throne change when Dmitry Medvedev was elected last March?
In 1787 a Scottish professor by the name of Alexander Fraser Tyler wrote about the fall of the ‘Athenian Republic’ which occurred more than 2000 years ago.
“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship.”
“The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations has been 200 years. These nations have progressed through this sequence:
From bondage to spiritual faith
From spiritual faith to great courage
From courage to liberty
From liberty to abundance
From abundance to complacency
From complacency to apathy
From apathy to dependence
From dependence back again into bondage”.
Do his words signal the end of a cycle for America?

You have put my thoughts into words.
Luckily, I have no children. I would not want to leave descendants to grow up in what America will be after Pelosi-Reid-Obama.
So Obama will usher in a one-party system? Prove it. We’ve had party hegemony many times in America and things still kept on changing. Let’s see: wasn’t it Karl Rove’s gang that promised a Permanent Republican Majority? Since Republicans have always been an electoral minority, this would, and did, require a variety of antidemocratic and unethical practices to achieve.
Look in the mirror. What you fear is what we have recently witnessed under W, and that isn’t going to happen under Obama. The Democrats aren’t nearly so ruthless as the neocons, who underneath seem to be more stalinist than conservative.
If your ideology is more important to you than your principles, you’re a threat to law and order. Period.

Did they change or try to change laws to prevent the Democrats from ever winning again? A genuine question. I’m open to learning.

I’m sure you’d admit that Obama is on the extreme left of the party and he has demonstrated extreme coldness (coolness) on many occasions. Over a hundred million people were killed in the name of communism.
It is said that if you’re not a communist before you’re 25 then there’s probably something wrong with you. And if you’re still a communist after the age of 25 then there’s definitely something wrong with you.
I was an active communist in my student days and so was Obama.
I no longer am, but he is.
My major ‘problem’ with Obama is that he has gone to great lengths to conceal his past and to put an absolute minimum in writing which is what caused me to write my first piece on the site.

I say on my home page that I’m not a McCain fan and that I wish that the Republicans had put forward a different candidate.
I guess the bottom line is that I pretty much know what a McCain presidency will usher in but I’m not at all sure what an Obama presidency would bring, but there are ominous storm clouds.
If he wins then I hope that he will perform the will of the people.
